Michelle’s family emigrated from Guangzhou, China, to New Zealand nearly 40 years ago. Born in Taranaki, she has lived in cities and towns across New Zealand, giving her an authentic connection to the clients she serves. With extensive travel and cross-cultural experience, Michelle understands the unique challenges faced by migrants and offers compassionate, informed support.
Beyond her law practice, Michelle is involved with and tries to serve her community. She is a Trustee and board committee member of various not-for-profits around Christchurch. Michelle also played a key role in establishing the Immigration Legal Clinics at Citizens Advice Bureau, where she continues to volunteer as an immigration lawyer.
